Berry Picking

Today Mommy and Daddy took me berry picking. At first I thought this seemed like a really silly idea. I mean you can get all the berries you want at the store and you don't even have to do any work.....

But then I put one of these little red gems in my mouth and realized that fresh raspberries have nothing on the ones in the store! So I told Daddy to keep picking and I kept eating!

I tried to help too, but I pretty much just kept eating all the berries I could!

All Done

Why does Daddy look so sad in this picture?
You might think it is because he is wearing my little pink hat, but actually I gave him that to try to cheer him up. He is sad because our wonderful vacation down the shore is "all done" and it is time to pack up and go home. But don't worry daddy, we are going to come back again next year and have even more fun!

When the family is this big you can never get them all together for a picture, but this was the best we could do.

Mornings on the beach

There are lots and lots of fun things to do on the beach before the lifeguards and crowds start to show up....

You can feed the seagulls......

It turns out they like bread as much as I do! At first I didn't understand why I had to give them the bread when I wanted to eat it, but Poppa showed me how much fun it was to watch them all swarm for the bread.

Taking morning walks with Mommy and Daddy is also lots of fun!

And surf lessons from Uncle Tim are worth getting up early for...

I guess I need a few more lessons... Uncle Tim and Uncle Trey try to catch some morning waves......

Maybe they need a few more lessons too.....I wanted to go kayaking with Daddy, but he said I had to wait until I was bigger.

So he went for a ride by himself.

And then I understood why I had to wait until I was a little bigger......

Mornings on the beach are filled with lots and lots of fun too!!!!

My Buddy Matthew!

To make this special summer at the beach even more fun my little cousin Matthew brought his family to the beach too!!!

We did lots of fun stuff together, like playing in the sand and splashing in the pool.

Even Grammy and Daddy had fun playing with Matthew!

And really, how could anyone resist that cute face and those glasses! Mommy says that we are going to be "trouble" together when we get a little older, I hope that is soon because it sounds like fun!

Lots and lots of friends!

It is hard work having this many friends at the beach.......
You have to pose for pictures.....
You have to help with the toys....
And spend some time on the court..... You have to give out lots and lots of hugs....
And spend time entertaining everyone....

It is hard work, but it is worth it!

Pizza on the beach!

So I knew that pizza was good, and I am learning how much fun the beach is......but I had no idea how much fun the two are together!!!!

To start each week everyone would meet on the beach after the lifeguards went home to enjoy the beautiful views and eat some yummy pizza together.

My "Other" PA cousins

Will and Jack made the long trip out from Pittsburgh to come see the beach with us. (And they brought their Mommy, Daddy, Poppa and Mimi with them!)

We played together in the sand together and danced to the Hoekey-Poekey (in French). And they liked being silly too!!!!

Poppa showed Will the eyeball of the really big tuna that Uncle Trey caught and we ate for dinner. I don't think he liked it very much.

I really hope they come play with us at the beach again next year!!!
