All Night Long

This sleep stuff is pretty great! At seven months old I finally started sleeping through the night! Mommy and Daddy read to me as I fall asleep, and I spend the whole night in my crib! In the morning I wake up happy and rested and ready to start the day! (Mommy and Daddy seem more rested as well!) Daddy told me sleep was good, it just took me a little while to believe him.

Uncle Trey Days!!!

Every two weeks or so, me and Mommy spend a couple of days at Grammy and Poppa’s house so that Mommy can go into the office. Since Uncle Trey is now a New York City firefighter he has some unusual hours, and can typically watch me for a day or two while Mommy is at work. I try to look sad when Mommy is leaving, but it is hard to pretend I’m sad when I know that Uncle Trey Days are SOOOO much fun!!!

Mommy brings a whole bunch of toys down for me, but who needs all these toys when you have Uncle Trey!!

These are just a couple of examples of the fun that ensues when Mommy is away!

First Uncle Trey made me into a “Margaret Sandwich”. It took several attempt to get all the fixin’ on just right.

Then I told him I was “all done” with that.

Next we played airplane! I got to fly around above Uncle Trey. It was a little scary, but very fun!
I always sleep really well after a Uncle Trey Days!

Talents

What fun is playing the piano if you can’t sing too! You might not understand what I am saying, but I know all the words!

NO EGGS!!!

I tried to like them. And then I tried to tell Mommy that I didn’t like them, but she kept on trying and trying to get me to eat them. She started with hard boiled, then she tried scrambled. She tried mixing them in with my cereal or my apple sauce or my carrots. But I still knew they were there, and I didn’t like them!! I tried spitting them out, and Mommy tried to put them back in. Finally I had to resort to drastic measures…..I gave her two final “warning coughs”…..then I threw up everywhere!!! I’m not talking spitting out what was in my mouth, or even a little regurgitation….I’m talking full blown projectile vomiting! I’m pretty sure Mommy got the idea because she cleaned me up and only made me eat my pears. Which were DELICIOUS without eggs mixed into them!

Oh and I will point out that Mommy didn’t even think about getting a picture of this mess! It would have been too gross to post anyway!

Cold Windows

Not sure what I am doing in these pictures? I can’t blame you. I’m licking the cold glass!!

No one can figure out exactly why, but I really like it! Everytime I see a sliding glass door that I can reach I have to plant my lips on it. Grammy even tried licking the glass too to try to figure out why I was doing it. Too bad Mommy missed getting a picture of that!

It’s Starting!!

The crawling and standing have officially begun! These videos are of the early attempts at each. Mommy already misses the days where she could lay me down on my blanket and know that I would still be on the blanket several minutes later. Not anymore!!!

And I still need a little help getting up, but I am really enjoying standing at my toys now. I knew these longs legs had to be for something good!

Last Chance

So Christmas may be over, but Mommy loves this Christmas strechy that Aunt Nessa gave me so much that she is still putting me in it. I have to admit it is really soft and warm!
After Mommy finished taking some cute pictures of me Daddy wanted to play peek-a-boo! In the video below you can see how much I love playing this with my Daddy!!!

So Big!

Ask me “How big is Margaret?” and I might not be able to answer with words, but I will show you that I am SO BIG!!!

Making Food

Now that I am starting to eat big girl food Mommy decided that she didn’t like any of the jar food, so you guessed it, she is making all my food herself! First cloth diapers and now this. She says she is being “Green”, but my uncles say she is turning into a Hippie.

All I know is all that we have a freezer filled with really delicious food!!! So far I have had apples, pears, bananas, papaya, avocado, sweet potato, carrots, peas, and butternut squash. And I can’t wait to try lots and lots of other yummy stuff!!!

Okay maybe I don't love it ALL....but I still come back for more!!

Playing in the snow

So up until this point I was allowed to watch the snow from inside…..which I have to admit was pretty cool!!! And Poppa let me touch a little bit once. But today Mommy and Daddy bundled me up and took me out to play in the snow!!

It was really pretty!! After taking these pictures Daddy went back inside while me and Mommy went for a nice walk. He said it was too cold! And they say I'm the baby!

Happy New Years! a.k.a. One last Christmas!

Apparently in this family New Years Day is just one more excuse to get together and open more presents!

I’m not complaining or anything. With Grammy’s big tree up it felt like one more Christmas!!!

I got to see my Aunt Midge

and Aunt Eileen and cousin Kenny & Nadia again!

Miss Ann also came over to see me! So much fun!!!
