Guess how big Charlotte is?

Guess how big Charlotte is??? If you guessed "SO BIG!" you would be SO right! If you guessed 7 months old you would also be right, but "SO BIG" is a lot more fun!

Little Miss Big Girl is also crawling up a storm! Well it is more like crawl, crawl, crawl, rest....crawl, crawl, crawl, rest....

But she gets where she wants to go!

But this smart girl still knows that no matter how far you go, snuggles with Dadda are still worth coming back for!

Look at me! Look at me! Look at ME!!!

Of course the camera can not be used without Margaret making sure to get in on the action!
Can't you just hear her saying CHEESE!!
Fortunately Charlotte was a good sport about it and made sure not to let Margaret steal every shot.

5K Road Race

Today Margaret and Charlotte helped Mommy finish her very first 5K road race pushing the double stroller. And by help I mean Charlotte slept quietly and Margaret asked "Momma who that?" "Momma who that?" "Momma who that?" every second for the entire 3.1 miles.
Mommy was very happy with her 27:14 finish time (especially considering the strong headwind on the Piermont Pier, which turns the double stroller into a wind sail!) And she is looking forward to running a lot more road races with her little cheerleaders!

Poppa's Boo Boo

Poppa had to have surgery on his shoulder this week.

Fortunately some snuggles, smiles and giggles were just what the doctor ordered!

Charlotte's Christening

Today we finally had Charlotte's Christening! This ended up being a little later then we had planned, but better late then never!

Charlotte got to wear the same beautiful Christening gown that Ben's Grandmother made for Margaret out of Mommy's wedding gown.
And since you only get to wear your Christening dress for a little while, Mommy of course decided we had to have a photo session in it!
Charlotte really didn't seem to mind that idea one bit!
Then we went off to the church to wear the dress for the real thing!
Deacon Roland once again blessed us with a beautiful ceremony.
Even though it was Charlotte's big day she is still super excited to see her big sis!
Here comes the water!
Charlotte thought it should be her turn to read the book.....
But actually Uncle Trey got to do the readings...
A big smile from Lady Charlotte when it was all over!
After the Christening was over Charlotte had lots of fun showing off all her beautiful party dresses!
And her beautiful smile!
By the end of the day Charlotte was getting a little overwhelmed by all the people and only wanted Mommy.
Which of course made Margaret decide that she wanted Mommy too! Good thing we have ways to deal with that!
It was a truly beautiful day!

Charlotte vs. Sweet Potato

Now that Charlotte has turned six months she gets to start eating big girl food! We have decided to try a new infant feeding method that Mommy has done some research on. It is called Baby Led Weaning (although it is really about eating and not weaning). Basically the child is given food in solid pieces and learns to grab, lift, bite, and chew all at the same time. In other words, no pureed baby food for this kiddo!

For her first food Charlotte got to eat homemade sweet potato fries with us! (without the salt and oil of course.)
As quickly learned how to grasp the pieces and get them towards her mouth.
Towards being the key word!
With every bite she gets better and better.....
And she loves every single minute of meal time!!!
