Midnight Riders

So the girls might have liked the sledding run during the day, but us "big kids" loved it at night! Nothing like "hitting the slope" at almost midnight on New Year's Eve while Baba and GB were nice enough to stay inside and keep an ear out for the sleeping girls.
Yes there might have been a beer or a glass (or mug) of wine involved!
The whole time all I could think is "not like real adults" (this is a Pizza family joke).
Since we didn't own a sled at the time we used an alphabet poster that I had bought for Margaret. It worked great, while it lasted!
Best dollar I ever spent!

New Years Snow

As if the Thuma's visit wasn't enough fun already, a couple inches of fresh snow on New Year's Eve made it even better!!!
While Margaret recently got to play in the 20+ inches of snow that we got in the last storm, she was much more comfortable with this more manageable depth of the white stuff. And getting to play with her cousin in it made it even better!
There might not have been much snow, but it was perfect for making a snowman. So the ladies got right to work!
Almost done...
He just needed a mustache to complete the look...
Our 6'-4" tall snowman was pretty impressive!
But even a tall snowman with a mustache isn't as much fun as a sledding run!
What a fun snow day!

Christmas Again

What number Christmas are we on now?!?!
Of course the Thuma's came bearing amazing gifts! Margaret is really getting the hang of this Christmas thing, and loving it!
Baba made each of the girls very snugly new blankets! Margaret sleeps with hers every night and Charlotte love a good nap wrapped up in hers.
Margaret and Sojourner are showing off how warm their new blankets are! With everyone else busy opening gifts Charlotte steals a little more snuggle time with Baba and Aunt Sara.
And really, what is more fun then silly glasses!
Sojourner might say that her new pizza kit is better then glasses (and after tasting her yummy pizza you would probably agree!)
Presents were only part of the fun! The real gift was being together!

Charlotte Time

With all the extra family visiting Charlotte got to enjoy TONS and TONS of special time with everyone!!!!
I'm pretty sure she never got put down!
She got to chat with her Aunt Sara.....
And her big cousin Sojourner joined in too!
So relaxed and loving it all!
With Margaret busy playing with everyone even Mommy got a few quiet moments to snuggle her little one.
That is one happy baby!
All that loving can really make a girl sleepy!
