Santa's "Yap"

This year I insisted on braving the mall by myself with both girls in order to get a picture with Santa. Ben thought I was crazy (and was probably right!)

But the "Santa Gods" must have been with me this morning, because I packed the girls up without either one of them spitting up or needing a diaper change in the car. When we got into the mall there was NO LINE at "Santa's Workshop" and we strolled right in.

In true Margaret fashion she refused to smile and just stared at Santa while he tried to ask her what she wanted for Christmas and tried very hard to get her to look happy for the camera.
This is Margaret's typical "trying to figure what is going on" face! It is so her that I had to buy the picture! As soon as we left all she talked about was "sitting on Santa's yap" (she is speaking VERY well, but has not yet mastered the "l" sound.)

And the funniest part is that prior to visiting Santa if you asked Margaret "What does Santa say?" she would reply "Ho-Ho-Ho". After sitting on Santa's "Yap" if you asked Margaret "What does Santa say?" , she now answers "Say Cheese!"
