Christmas at Grammy's House

Christmas at Grammy house is always a very special occation. And the best part is it typically lasts for a couple of days!!! Christmas day we get to dress up and spend time with the whole big family! There is always lots of food, laughter and wonderful memories!
Then the day after Christmas we get up early and wait for Uncle Trey to get off of work so we can open more presents!

Poppa loves showing off the train around the Christmas tree and Charlotte loves it too!

Once Uncle Trey arrives it is time for more gifts! The LBI photo book is always a big hit!

This year Margaret's new dress up clothes were also a enjoyed by all!

After all the excitment Poppa tries to lay down for a little nap, and Margaret decides to share every single one of her gifts with him!

And the Toy Story train is SO much fun to watch!

But the best gift is watching the girls playing together on Christmas morning!!!

Christmas Cookies

For Mommy's birthday Grammy and Poppa got her a beautiful Kitchen Aid mixer, so there has been a LOT of baking going on around here!

But the most fun has been making Christmas cookies for the first time! Aunt Janis was nice enough to share her 'famous' Christmas cookie recipe with us and we got to work!

Margaret loves cutting out all the fun shapes!

Decorating them with lots of frosting and sprinkles is fun too!

But eating them is the BEST part!!

Every so often Mommy gets the great idea to do a photo shoot of the girls herself. And every time she tries this she is reminded that this is a LOT easier said than done! Fortunately after taking almost 200 picture she was able to find a few winners!
