Well this seems as good a time as any to start the guessing. The statistics say that 95% of babies are born within two weeks of their estimated due date. Since our little one has not shown up yet, and the doctors will only let me go two weeks past my due date, it looks like we will fall under this statistic. So what do people think I’m having (boy or girl?) and when do you think it will it decide to make its grand arrival? Use the “comment” link below to cast your votes.

Since no one else has ventured to guess, I'm gonna put myself out there and say middle of next week (May 13 - 15).
As far as the sex of the baby, there are some people that you look at and say definitively that they are meant to have girls or boys. Some parents of boys would seem out of place with a baby girl, and vice versa.
You, Ben and Katherine, definitely do not fall into this category. I see Ben equally comfortable cradling a little princess and watching her play in the dirt in pigtails as wrestling with a little boy and telling him "no, you can't keep that frog as a pet. He belongs outside". Katherine also would equally nurture a little girl into being the wonderful, well rounded, smart person she will undoubtedly be or the little boy that will steal hearts the world over :)
With all that said, I think I would love to see the oldest of the Thuma children be a girl:) With such an awesome set of parents, she would have endless potential. I think that the world and the budding generations will need little girls and women like that (I know, I'm a bit biased)

Liam and Steve think that you're having a baby girl!! They also think the baby is coming on 5/15. Annie and Clara think the baby is a boy and that he'll be born on 5/20. BTW, nice work on the car seat installation. With an engineer and a chemist working on the job, we knew you guys wouldn't have any trouble!!! Love you all!
Aunt Nessa thinks baby Thuma #1 is going to be a girl.I think Katherine will give birth right on time. I am going to say within three days of her due date (give or take). I can't wait to meet this little one!
The Millers are putting their money on late (sorry Mom)- we guess the 21st in regonition of Blayne's birthday!! As for gender our official thought is boy- but that is only, again, because Blayne needs yet another boyfriend...
I think it is a boy. I think the baby will be born on May 22nd early in the day. The baby will weigh 7lbs, 2oz and be 18 inches long.
I think the baby will be born May 23rd. Ben was 8lbs, 9oz so I'm hoping for a more comfortable 7lbs, 7ozs for Katherine. I think the baby will be a girl. Regardless of the sex of the baby, you, Ben & Katherine, will be great parents.
I think the baby will be born May 25th. I'm picking a boy. I guess the baby will be 7lbs, 2oz and 19 inches.

ok, I posted previously but forgot to put my name so I'm re-posting. I guess that the baby is a girl because Katherine had a dream about a girl. I think the baby will be born on May 20th. The baby will weigh 6lbs, 10oz and 18 inches.
I guess the baby will be born on May 27th because that's my birthday.
may 23rd, b/c everyone knows people born on the 23 day of a month turn out super cool. As much as I would like to see a boy, its probably a girl.
I am going to be honest and say that I am hoping for a nephew, but that is only because i would probably get in less trouble if he got a fat lip or a black eye while he was "playing" with me, and also because if you do have a son and do decide to name it dyson I would feel like i had given you some meaningful advice. I would also be equally happy with a niece because that is what i am suppose to say, no i am just kidding, I think this family could use a little girl and I am just so excited that it does not really matter. What does matter is that Ben and Kate have a loving relationship their child is going to be encompassed in their love and the love of their extended family and that is what truly important. You two are going to be amazing parents and I can't wait to be an uncle
but I am going to guess you and ben have a baby boy and I am asking you to go into labor on friday night the 16th of May so that i can be up there sat May 17th to meet the new member of our family
